This stunning kitchen is undeniably rather special, not least because it featured in an episode of the hit TV series Grand Designs. We created this kitchen for clients based in Portpatrick, Scotland. They initially approached us due to our expertise in their desired premium German kitchen brand. Having dedicated so much hard work to bring their contemporary cliff-top dwelling to life, achieving the perfect kitchen was vital. After working closely with the client to craft their unique design, we travelled to Scotland to project manage the installation. From the beautiful breakfast bar to the recessed overhead units, we executed every element with unrivalled precision.
As the focal point of an extraordinary, self-build property, our design had to complement the external architecture. We selected a lacquered concrete finish to reflect the stone façade and reference the rugged cliffs. The sleek, handleless cabinetry with drawer line detailing is perfectly in keeping with the dramatic modern building. This spectacular kitchen demonstrates impeccable attention to detail. Every element has been carefully considered. The handle rail and plinths match the concrete doors exactly. The cabinets are built into the wall to create a streamlined effect, while the mirror splashback reflects the impressive view. Even the Miele hob is beautifully flush-fitted. We worked closely with our clients throughout the design process to bring their vision to life.
Despite its impressive looks, this kitchen lacks nothing in terms of practicality. Miele appliances and a Quooker tap guarantee exceptional performance. A laminate wood breakfast bar establishes a great casual seating area, while the island offers ample cooking and storage space. Our clients couldn’t have been happier with their finished space. It was such a privilege to be part of this awe-inspiring project.
